I spent most of my twenties reading 17-year-olds’ essays. The good ones were specific. Messy, weird, personal. The bad ones all read like the same draft run through a spellcheck.

Then came ChatGPT. Suddenly every essay sounded polished — and identical. Admissions officers told me they could smell it in the first sentence. Students were getting better grades on their drafts and worse results in the mail.

We built Jengo on a simple bet: the future of application writing is not more AI. It is better strategy: knowing which story belongs where before anyone writes the first sentence.
